Project Manager, CES; and Director, North Berkshire Academy Special Education Public Day School

Jodi Drury has spent the majority of her career in the Berkshires, teaching special education, and leading professional development initiatives for teachers, paraprofessionals, and leaders.  Before joining CES, she served as the Department Head for the Special Education Department and Student Support Team at Berkshire Hills Regional School District, coordinated special education services for Springfield Public Schools, and was a special education teacher for the Pittsfield Public Schools. She’s also a native of the Berkshires, born and raised in Pittsfield, MA.

Jodi holds Massachusetts licenses as a special education teacher, a Director of Special Education, and a High School Principal, and is finishing her Ph.D. in Special Education Leadership. Her dissertation is about Leaders’ Knowledge and Training in MTSS (Massachusetts Tiered Systems of Support).

In addition to her work as Director of CES' new North Berkshire Academy special education public day school, she provides CES professional development for educators across the state, co-facilitates the Special Education Team Leaders Institute, and teaches graduate licensure courses in special education.

She currently lives with her husband, two children, and dog Olive in Lenox, MA. Jodi believes that great teachers never lose their membership as students and learners in the classroom because when teachers and students learn together, a dynamic and powerful relationship is formed that opens the door to more meaningful and exciting teaching and learning opportunities that can improve our world.
