The Superintendents of CES Member Districts regularly attend Steering Committee meetings with CES leadership and staff, sharing concerns, resources, and ideas; and providing input into new directions for the agency. Due to concerns about COVID-19, all meetings will be held virtually until further notice. Details to access these meetings is emailed to Steering Committee members directly.

Bill Erickson
Bill Erickson is retired from his position as Superintendent of the Hampshire Regional School District and its member towns and is currently the administrative consultant for the Collaborative for Educational Services, Executive Secretary of the Connecticut Valley Superintendents Round Table, and a staff associate and search consultant for the New England School Development Council. He was awarded the prestigious Christos Daoulas Award by his colleagues in the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents. He has served in leadership responsibilities, including superintendencies, in Massachusetts and Vermont. Recently, he was the Interim Superintendent for the Northampton Public Schools. Dr. Erickson has a B.S.Ed. from Fitchburg State University and an M.Ed. and Ed.D. from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Kevin Courtney
Kevin Courtney is a consultant to the Executive Director at CES, whose responsibilities include serving as a liaison to the Franklin County school districts and working with school leaders, primarily superintendents and principals. He joined CES in 2008 upon his retirement from the Pioneer Valley Regional School District where he was the Superintendent of Schools for twenty years. Kevin has been a teacher, principal and Director of Special Education. He also taught graduate courses in school administration at the University of Massachusetts. In addition to his position at CES, he is a Coach in the New Superintendents Induction Program and has been since its inception in 2008. Kevin earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Massachusetts and a Master’s Degree from Fitchburg State College.
