James is a community educator and writer. With a long history of working in non-profits, James has combined their passion of education and advocacy to create innovative programs for K-12 schools, universities, and a wide array of agencies (from hospitals to homeless shelters). Topics have ranged from LGBTQ+ and Trans 101s, to better practices and compliance, to racial equity, diversity, and inclusion. James currently holds contracts with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and GLSEN, among others. They also work providing advocacy and outreach support efforts at both WestMass ElderCare and the RECOVER Project. James holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Queens College, and a BA in English Literature and Gender Studies from Hunter College.
