Description

This is a three-session course (1.5 hours each day; Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) that will cover the following topics:

  • Definitions of poverty
  • State and local statistics
  • Understanding challenges specific to individual communities and neighborhoods
  • How chronic stress impacts learning
  • Evidence-based approaches to teaching and learning

Audience

Teachers and Paraprofessionals; Grades K - 12

Credits

Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
