Special Education/ History Content Professional Development Facilitator

The SEIS History content consultant will facilitate a consecutive 2 day Professional Development content series specific to History teachers working in residential education programming in Department of Mental Health (DMH)  sites. Teachers are content and/or special education certified as the majority of students they serve are special education students. Our teachers teach content and are responsible for managing IEP goals and objectives for the students. The sessions will be held October 2 & 3, 2019 in Norwood, MA. Facilitator will create and design workshops for the two day series with a focus in specific targeted areas (instruction, assessment, teaching all students) as defined and discussed with the Associate Director of Professional Development and Curriculum. Facilitators must have content area certification for secondary History and special education certification is a plus.
