The Collaborative for Educational Services (CES) seeks two Special Education Consultants under our Special Education in Institutional Settings (SEIS) contract with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. The SEIS Special Education Consultants will co- facilitate a Professional Development content series specific to Math or Science, held October 2 & 3, 2018.These two individuals will also work in collaboration with Department of Youth Services (DYS) supported consultants to facilitate Professional Development for secondary education teachers employed in DYS settings, to provide insight to special education pedagogy. These two positions are each a 40-hour commitment total which includes: preparation, training, and facilitation. Trainings are scheduled June 8, 2018 or July 10, 2018 in Central MA. Immediate opening for Literacy Specialist. Seeking a qualified Literacy Specialist for the 2018-2019 academic year to work with at-risk youth placed in residential facilities run by the Department of Youth Services (DYS) in the Boston (Metro) area. We are looking for passionate and collaborative teachers who are committed to working with youth in small classroom settings. We value professionalism, positive youth development, and culturally responsive teaching. The qualified individual must be willing to travel to other parts of the state, as needed. Successful candidates may be eligible for the teacher loan forgiveness program for up to $17,500. Teachers in DYS schools are part of the Massachusetts Teachers' Retirement System. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University. Master's Degree preferred.  Massachusetts teacher licensure in Reading (all levels) preferred.
