The Collaborative for Educational Services (CES) seeks Summer School Teachers for the Department of Youth Services (DYS). Energetic and dedicated educators sought for DYS summer teaching positions to provide instruction in multiple content areas to students assigned to the Department of Youth Services (DYS) in Brewster, MA.   Our ideal candidate will value professionalism, social justice education, and culturally responsive teaching. Classes are small and personalized with a focus on academic and behavioral success. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree and a current Massachusetts teaching license at the secondary level (8-12); (5-8) will be considered. All content areas will be conisidered for Summer School.  This is a part-time, seasonal position from July 8 - August 16, 2019. Summer School is in session Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 1:30pm, which includes non-instructional and lunch times. Candidate will be required to attend one day of training prior to the start of Summer School (date to be determined).   Review of resumes will begin immediately and continue until the positions are filled.

IMMEDIATE OPENING: The Collaborative for Educational Services (CES) is seeking a Health and Wellness Teacher to work with at-risk adolescents in residential facilities run by the Department of Youth Services (DYS) in the Central region of Massachusetts. We are looking for a passionate and collaborative teacher who is committed to working with students in small classroom settings.  We value professionalism, positive youth development, and culturally responsive teaching. Demonstrated successful teaching experience with high-risk youth highly desirable. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, as well as a Massachusetts Physical Education and/or Health teacher license at the secondary level. This position requires frequent travel within the region.

The purpose of the Physical Education/Wellness Teacher is to guide the development and implementation of an instructional program that will enable students to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for lifelong health, fitness, and well-being. This is achieved through a combination of health/fitness related educational services, effective collaborative relationships, professional development, and a commitment to strength-based, culturally sensitive student support.
