After School Activity Leader West Springfield High School

The Collaborative’s After School Program at West Springfield High School (grades 9-12) is seeking SEI endorsed staff; ESL qualified teachers; AND individuals who aren’t certified but have experience working with EL students, to work with EL students during after school time. We are very flexible with scheduling! Candidates can work once, twice or more a week! There is the possibility of summer employment as well.

This is you:
  • You are energetic
  • You are ready to think outside of the box to help boost services for EL students
  • You have teaching experience is a definite plus.
Highlights of what you will do:
  • Offer homework support; tutoring for specific academic content areas like ELA, math etc.
  • Offer students exciting enrichment activities. All ideas will be heard!
  • Teach students in small groups potentially Monday through Friday afternoons,
Programming starting in December 2020 until June of 2021. The after school program can engage students any time after school and while most of the program currently operates between the hours of 2pm till 4pm, programming can be offered later than 4pm to accommodate students and staffing schedules.
