Lisa Goldsmith is the Strategic Planning Initiative for Families and Youth (SPIFFY) Coalition Coordinator in the Department of Healthy Families and Communities at CES, where she oversees a county-wide coalition working across all sectors to help communities reduce risk factors and increase protective factors to reduce youth substance use and help build healthy communities for all youth. Previously, she worked for over twenty years in a variety of settings in the field of youth services, with a focus on youth/young adults experiencing homelessness and those who were pregnant and parenting, and she recently oversaw the strategic planning process for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Youth Homelessness Demonstration Project in Franklin County.

She received her MSW and a Human Services Agency Management Certificate from the Boston University School of Social Work and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in School Counseling from the University of Massachusetts. She has also served on many boards related to youth services, including the Governor’s Special Commission for Unaccompanied Youth, the Massachusetts Housing and Shelter Alliance’s Transition Age Youth Committee, the Western MA Network to End Homelessness Unaccompanied Youth Work Group, and the Runaway and Homeless Youth Training and Technical Assistance Center National Advisory Board.
