Este desarrollo profesional explora cómo el Aprendizaje Socioemocional (SEL) influye directamente en el desarrollo cerebral infantil y en el aprendizaje a lo largo de la vida. A través de investigaciones actuales en neurociencia y educación, los participantes comprenderán cómo las experiencias sociales, emocionales y cognitivas moldean las conexiones neuronales del cerebro en las primeras etapas del desarrollo.

La sesión profundiza en el papel de las relaciones seguras y cálidas, el impacto del estrés, y la importancia de ambientes educativos equilibrados que fomenten la seguridad emocional, la autorregulación y el aprendizaje significativo. Los educadores analizarán las redes cerebrales clave (red ejecutiva, red de saliencia y red de modo predeterminado) y reflexionarán sobre estrategias prácticas para apoyar el desarrollo socioemocional y académico de los niños desde la primera infancia.

This professional development session explores how Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) directly impacts early childhood brain development and lifelong learning. Grounded in current neuroscience and educational research, participants will gain an understanding of how social, emotional, and cognitive experiences shape neural connections during critical stages of brain development.

The session highlights the importance of warm, responsive relationships, the effects of stress on learning, and the role of balanced learning environments that promote emotional safety, self-regulation, and meaningful engagement. Educators will examine key brain networks (executive control, salience, and default mode networks) and reflect on practical strategies to support children’s social-emotional and academic growth from early childhood onward.

Registration

A maximum class size is set for each course and registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. If the number of registrations for a course exceeds the maximum seats available or is too low to be able to conduct a quality learning experience, CES will inform you of available options.

Course Cancellation

If you wish to cancel your registration, please submit a request in writing (via mail, email or fax) no later than 7 business days before the workshop’s start date. After that, there are no refunds or billing adjustments.

In the event that a course is cancelled by the Collaborative for Educational Services, we will notify you as soon as possible. Please be sure to provide your best email address and phone number so we can contact you. Although every effort is made to avoid last minute cancellations, if an emergency arises, we will do our best to reach you at the phone number and email address you provide.
