One of the SPIFFY Coalition’s core strategies is to support health educators in the communities we serve. Health educators have relayed deep interest in connecting with one another to share resources, as well as accessing more professional development opportunities specifically geared towards health education. Therefore, SPIFFY has partnered with Mary Connolly, Program Chair of the Skills-Based Health/Social Emotional program at Cambridge College, to provide a professional development training for health educators.

On March 6, 2026, from 9AM-12PM, Mary Connolly will be facilitating a “Skills-Based Health Education Workshop” at the Collaborative for Educational Services. In this three hour workshop, professionals will learn how to use the MA Health and Physical Education Framework to plan, design, and implement skills-based units and lessons. Light food and drink will also be provided.

This workshop is open to anyone who teaches health education topics.
