Networking, support and strategies for special education team leaders

These communities are designed to connect Team Leaders from different districts both during our virtual meetings and as partners between meeting times via email. The outcomes that you’ll experience as a participant are the opportunity to share your problems of practice, the opportunity to help others by providing resources and ideas from your district, and the opportunity to get information about current priorities and best practices for special education services and teams in Massachusetts.

Each Community of Practice will meet via Google Meet once each month for 1 hour and 45 minutes. For the 2026-2027 year, you may choose to attend the morning or the afternoon session on any of the session days. If you attend all 9 sessions and log your attendance, you can receive 15 PDPs in Special Education for your participation in each community of practice. We will prioritize sharing problems of practice–so please come prepared to discuss (confidentially) any current situations you’re facing or questions about leading teams in ways that are compliant and collaborative. Our communities of practice are really about offering you a space to gather with each other and share your expertise as practitioners.
