Rita DeOliveira

Rita DeOliveira, MPA, C-TESL is the Founder of English for Industry, offering on-site, customized language instruction in the workplace. In addition to a wide breadth and depth of experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) in various academic environments, Ms. DeOliveira has taught ESL for manufacturers, and restaurants, and in healthcare and agriculture. Ms. DeOliveira earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Marist College, and received her TESOL certification from the University of Vermont. Just prior to founding her company, Ms. DeOliveira directed English Language Education programs for urban and virtual school districts.  

Prior to joining the field of Education, Ms. DeOliveira managed large-scale projects for public and non-profit organizations. She has facilitated strategic planning for geographically-dispersed teams; provided consultation on process improvement and team dynamics; and designed professional development for agencies like the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Bureau of Land Management. Ms. DeOliveira also served as a consultant to the Vermont Agency of Transportation in its efforts to improve customer service. She has presented at several professional conferences on topics related to teaching and working with English Language Learners.
