School districts know that teaching students the 'how to learn' skills are essential. However, the challenge is often seen in implementation. Schools struggle to determine who provides the lessons and how the concepts are carried over to the classroom. This session reviews a practical and targeted approach to SEL instruction that empowers teachers to choose lessons based on their classroom needs. Participants will learn how to leverage data to assess classroom challenges and select SEL interventions designed to improve student behavior.
This is Part 1 of the 4-Part Supporting Students with Non-Compliance Series. The series explores practical, tiered strategies for supporting students who experience non-compliance, avoidance, emotional dysregulation, and difficulty managing challenging situations in general education settings.
