The graduation celebration for Mount Tom Academy’s class of 2026 was held in the Fine & Performing Arts Building in the Leslie Phillips Theater on the Holyoke Community College Campus. The ceremony took place on Tuesday morning, June 2nd.
This year’s graduates included nine students, from East Longmeadow, Granby High School, Minnechaug High School, Greenfield High School, Easthampton High School, and Hampshire Regional High School.
Speaking at the graduation were Maureen Binienda, Interim Executive Director of the Collaborative for Educational Services; Karen Reuter, Deputy Director of the Collaborative for Educational Services, and Lynan Cerruti, Mount Tom Academy Program Director.
Karen Reuter spoke to the values and mission of the Academy: “At Mount Tom Academy, each student has not only learned our values — they have lived them. Today, we celebrate a class that truly embodies the pinnacle of what we stand for: Prioritization, Respect, Expansive Perspective Taking, Perseverance, and Passion. These graduates are more than students; they are the reflection of our mission in motion, ready to shape the world with purpose and principle.”
Mount Tom Academy is a student centered, individualized pathway to high school graduation and beyond, working closely with area sending schools and matched to each student’s own learning style, in a small classroom setting. The Academy was founded in 1999 and is a program of the Collaborative for Educational Services. The program is currently accepting student referrals for the fall of 2026.
