Transforming Education for Social Justice Conference

The 2020 Regional Conference was cancelled due to the pandemic.

This conference is about coming together and feeling our collective power and our connection and joy about being together in our transformation work. We believe strongly in caring for each other and our community, and we look forward to scheduling a new conference when we are able to come together safely and with joy.

See the menu to the left for more information about past Transforming Education Conferences.

The Transforming Education for Social Justice Conference is a regional conference that brings together people in Western Massachusetts who are interested in social justice and equity in K-12 schools, early childhood classrooms, and the surrounding communities.

Participants co-create a space for young people, educators, activists, administrators, and scholars to connect and network, share and learn, dream and envision possibilities for developing education as a tool for equity and social justice. In this space, participants have the opportunity to examine the specific regional challenges that young people are facing in our education system which are central to their lives and to the vitality of our communities. As we examine the challenges, we look to each other for visions and practices that can guide our work towards transforming education for social justice.
