Education Team Leaders Communities of Practice

Professional Development

The Education Team Leaders Communities of Practice will meet via Zoom once each month for 90 minutes. The below Communities of Practice will be offered:

  • Elementary
  • 504 Coordinators
  • Secondary

We will have a regular "routine" for our sessions that will include the following:

  • Welcome and review of agenda (5 minutes)
  • Data collection from ETL‘s regarding a question of practice. For example, I might ask: "How much time do you allocate when scheduling annual review meetings?" One question a month--every month I'll share the results from the previous month's question. (5 minutes)
  • Mini training on a point of regulation or practice (15 minutes)—cases, regs, guidance docs--I'll likely focus on DESE advisories/guidance, the Zirkel update from CASE, a leadership article, or a tool for identifying evidence-based practices.
  • Q&A about the topic for the mini-training (15 minutes)
  • Confidential Case Conferencing: With advanced sign up--up to three people per month 15 minutes each (45 minutes).
  • Close with gratitude & feedback (5 minutes)
