Description

WIDA takes time and practice to use well, just as one's awareness of the impact of academic language on text comprehension and the clarity of our instructional language grows over time once one understands what to look for.

This training is to help deepen both participants' understanding of WIDA tools-in particular, MPIs-as well as the features of academic language, also including language functions. The emphasis is on understanding WIDA in a way that directly translates into improved classroom practice.

Audience and Grade Level

K-12 teachers and administrators who have taken basic WIDA training.

Credits

Certificate of Attendance, 6.5 hours.
