Using the ASQ for Developmental Screening

This course offers an in depth exploration on how to use the ASQ-3 & ASQ:SE-2 for developmental screening, as well as a brief look ASQ Online. Participants will practice scoring and interpreting the results of the screening. Strategies for communicating sensitive information and helping families navigate the referral process will be included. 

This session addresses Massachusetts Core Competency 1: Understanding Growth and Development of Children and Youth; Massachusetts Core Competency 3: Partnering with Families and Communities; Massachusetts Core Competency 6: Observation, Assessment, and Documentation; Massachusetts Core Competency 8: Professionalism and Leadership.

    Mary Ellis Schreiber, M.S.Ed., is the Coordinator of Early Childhood Professional Development and the Coordinator of the CFCE Program at CES. She earned her Bachelor’s degree at Hampshire College and her Master’s degree at Bank Street College of Education. Her career includes working directly with young children and their families, developing curriculum to support conflict resolution skills in young children, and college level teaching.
