Teaching Strategies GOLD Hands-On Practice PLC

This four-session Professional Learning Community provides educators who have completed the Teaching Strategies GOLD course hands-on practice using the online tool with their own laptop or tablet and data from a child in their own classroom. Educators can develop mastery in uploading photo and video documentation, following the ODL, and using notes to support observations. 

Each session of the PLC meets for two hours with a trainer certified by Teaching Strategies to provide technical support in use of this online documentation tool. Participation in a GOLD support PLC is a requirement for educators who wish to be eligible for an initial year free subscription with portfolios for all children in their classroom. 

Participants should have a laptop (Teaching Strategies does not support ChromeBooks) or tablet to bring to the PLC, have administrative support for using the Teaching Strategies online toolkit, and commit to attend all 4 sessions. 

Credit

Upon completion of all sessions, participants will receive training hours.

Location

All Cambridge sessions will take place at Nurtury Child Care Center, 243 Harvard Street, Cambridge. **Please note that for this PLC, 8 contact hours are completed in three (not four) sessions. Pay close attention to the start and end times of each session

  • May 15, 2018 from 6:00pm - 9:00pm
  • May 22, 2018 from 6:00pm - 8:00pm

All Danvers sessions will take place from 6:30pm - 8:30pm at North Shore Community College, Berry Building, Room 304, 1 Ferncroft Road, Danvers.
