The Standards-Based Classroom: A Workshop and Study Group

Summer Academy

How do you convert the traditional “work for grade” model into a system that is an effective and efficient reflection of what students know and can do? In this collaborative workshop, participants will work together to develop individual plans to move to standards-based classrooms. We'll explore the challenges of asking students to show what they know, consider the problems of grading and reporting and share practical ways to make standards-based instruction work in each teacher's classroom.
