En este taller, examinaremos los motivos del por qué los niños hacen lo que hacen. Practicaremos maneras de detectar el significado del comportamiento. Entenderemos cómo lograr que las expectativas esten claras para los niños. Y aprenderemos maneras eficaces de desarrollar y enseñar reglas del hogar.  

In this workshop, we will examine why children do what they do. We'll practice ways to determine the meaning of behavior. We will understand how to make expectations clear for children. And we will learn effective ways to develop and teach household rules.

Please note that this workshop is facilitated in Spanish.

    Emily Koester, M.Ed, has over 25 years of experience working with children and families in both schools and the community. As the former CPC Coordinator in Gill-Montague, Emily may be a familiar face for those in Franklin County. With a background in special education, she has taught in an integrated preschool, and also worked as a bi-lingual (Spanish) Early Intervention Developmental Specialist.

  • Rossana Salazar photo

    Rossana Salazar is an Early Childhood educator for Latino Families. One of her areas of expertise is comprehensive child care and Early Childhood stimulation. She is an RN, has a Masters in Public Health in the specialty of Community Health Education, and a Graduate Certificate in Latin American, Caribbean and Latino Studies from the University of Massachusetts.

  • Francia Wisnewski photo

    Francia Wisnewski has a strong and varied background in education. She has taught in South America and possesses broad experience in developing educational programs for early literacy and Early Childhood, family support, outreach and community engagement.
