Restraint Regulations Workshop

Professional Development
Offered by:
Professional Development
Special Education

In December, 2014, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (ESE) officially adopted revisions to the Commonwealth’s regulations governing physical restraint in public education programs. The definitions of what constitutes a physical restraint have been amended substantially. Furthermore, the regulations impose additional due process, incident reporting, and data review requirements. Therefore, most school programs will need to revise existing physical restraint policies, procedures, reporting forms, and annual staff training.

This workshop will provide an in-depth review of the revised regulations - what’s changed and what has not - with a practical eye towards preparing for when the new regulations become effective on January 1, 2016.

School Administrators, Special Educators, School Psychologists, BCBAs, etc.

Certificate of Attendance, 3 hours.

Future training dates will be announced here. If you have questions or are interested in offering this training on-site, please contact us.
