The intersection of the COVID-19 Pandemic and increased awareness and reactions regarding racial injustice is the perfect storm for increased anxiety in our communities, families and children. Early childhood is an ideal time to build positive foundations and to foster understanding and compassion. Strategies to address children’s anxiety and to maintain reassuring and culturally responsive programs will be discussed.

This session addresses Massachusetts Core Competency 2: Guiding and Interacting with Children and Youth.
