Description

The day is split into two sessions - Introduction Session in the morning and Advanced Session in the afternoon. Participants can choose to attend the morning and the afternoon, just the morning, or just the afternoon.

The agenda is as follows:

  • Morning: Introduction to Proloquo2Go - Version 5: This introductory workshop will provide an overview of Proloquo2Go (version 5) which was released in March, 2017. Participants will explore and learn about the different levels of Crescendo, Proloquo2Go’s pre-programmed language system. We will also cover basic app functions such as adding a new user, creating new buttons and folders, the new search feature, and creating/managing back-up files.
  • Afternoon: Proloquo2Go – Version 5: Advance Features As a pre-requisite to this session participants are expected to either work on a regular basis with Proloquo2Go or have attended the earlier introductory session. This advanced workshop will delve deeper into the features in Proloquo2Go (version 5). We will look more closely at the features that can be customized to meet the unique needs of a variety of AAC users. Participants will learn how to adjust the app’s appearance, access methods, speech, and navigation in a variety of ways to best fit the needs of the user.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own iPad with Proloquo2Go installed. We will be using Proloquo2Go version 5 for the training but iPads with Proloquo2Go 4 installed can also be utilized during this training. Please be aware that Proloquo2Go 5 will only run on iPads that can be updated to the latest operating system (iOS 10). We will have some iPads available for use during the training on a first come, first served basis.
