Project-Based Learning

Professional Development

Participants will be reminded of the many benefits of Project-Based Learning (PBL) as we identify key components of this approach to curriculum design. We will analyze teacher and student work samples from PBL classrooms to develop a framework for unit-level planning. Participants will identify real-world connections, develop driving questions, and create plans for assessments AND student products within a standards-based unit in the grade level and the subject of their choosing.

The content for this course is delivered fully asynchronous online with the exception of a one-hour virtual meeting that occurs at the start of the course. All feedback will be delivered via the LMS students will use to access the content and turn in assignments.
