Description

In this two-day workshop participants will develop skills to make modifications to class material for the range of learners in their classrooms. We will analyze assignment and assessment tasks to help determine how to make appropriate modifications for students with learning disabilities in the general education classroom. Participants will be asked to bring assignments to the second day of the workshop in order to have the opportunity to create and receive feedback on modifications for their own materials.

Audience and Grade Level

Teachers, Grades 5 - 12.

Credits

15 PDPs will be awarded to participants upon completion of these two days of training, in addition to outside readings and assignments (as per DESE regulations). Note that these 15 PDPs will satisfy the SPED-related requirement for recertification.
