Description

In this course, we will explore technology integration to support learning and to facilitate change in schools and districts. Participants will work through the lens of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) Standards for Students and Educators, as well as the Massachusetts Digital Literacy & Computer Science Framework to examine technology integration in a variety of classroom environments. Participants will explore a variety of models for technology integration as well as tools that can be used to impact learning in meaningful and transformative ways.

This course embeds the ISTE Certification for Educators face-to-face and online components into a three-credit graduate level blended course offered through the CES Licensure Program. Once the course is completed, participants will pursue the full ISTE Certification for Educators by completing a portfolio within the 6 months after this semester-long course is complete.

Please note that due to the integration of the ISTE Certification for Educators, participants will complete their work in an alternative learning management system. For more information about CES as a Certification Authorized Provider of the ISTE Certification course, please see our CES ISTE Certification Training webpage. If you have any questions, please contact Suzanne Judson-Whitehouse

This course includes a pre-practicum field-based experience. For more information, please see our Pre-Practicum FAQ.

Important Information

Registration

A maximum class size is set for each course and registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. If the number of registrations for a course exceeds the maximum seats available, we will inform you of available options.

If course enrollment is too low to be able to conduct a quality learning experience, options will be made available that may include taking the course in another location or semester, or participating in face-to-face sessions virtually, where students see, hear, and interact with the class through the web.

Some courses may continue to have seats available after online registration has closed. Please contact the Licensure Registrar at registrar@collaborative.org or (413) 586-4900, Option 5, if you would like to register for this course after online registration has closed.

Registrations submitted after the 5:00pm deadline noted for each course must be sent by mail and include the course tuition. Please contact the registrar at registrar@collaborative.org.

Attendance at all face-to-face sessions is mandatory. Missing a face-to-face session will reduce your grade by one letter grade. If you know you cannot attend one of the face-to-face sessions for this course, please consider taking this course the next time it is offered.

All coursework is due by the course end date.
