William Erickson

William Erickson, Ed.D. serves as an Administrative Consultant to the Executive Director, responsible for maintaining close contact with member school district leaders and Superintendents. He is also a Program Coordinator for Practicum candidates in the CES Licensure program, and is the Executive Secretary of the Connecticut Valley Superintendent Roundtable.Bill came to CES upon his retirement in 2005 after a 43-year career as a teacher in Auburn and Hadley, a Middle School Principal in Easthampton, and a Superintendent of Schools in Vermont and in the Hampshire Regional Schools. His avid interest in educational policy is still put to good use as a researcher and chronicler of news and opinion of importance to school leaders.A 1962 graduate of Fitchburg State College, Bill earned Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Education from UMass Amherst. Since his retirement Bill has been a Senior Search Consultant for the New England School Development Council, and a Lions Club Secretary in Southampton, where he and his wife, Joy, have lived for 45 years.
