Description

This two day workshop is for educators who are comfortable using G Suite (Google Apps for Education) and want to prepare for the Level 1 Certified Educator exam. The Level 1 certification is ideal for teachers who want to integrate more technology in their classroom. We will cover the themes and tools required to take the exam. Certification is not complete until each participant successfully completes the exam, on their own time after these sessions. This workshop has pathways for both administrators and teachers.

Participants will…

  • have a fun, collaborative hands-on experience
  • meet other educators and leaders from surrounding districts and learn from each other
  • be encouraged to explore, take risks and experiment
  • work with your colleagues to find solutions and inspiration
  • explore Apps and Extensions
  • create a presentation, website, YouTube channel, Classroom and more
  • learn about new tools
  • make connections to digital learning and digital citizenship

Audience and Grade Level

Teachers and Administrators, Grades PreK - 12.

Credits

12 PDPs will be awarded to participants upon the completion of these two days of training.

Cost and Registration

The cost of the workshop is $200 for member districts, and $220 for non-member districts.

  • Casey Daigle-Matos

    Casey Daigle, is a Digital Learning Manager at the Collaborative for Education Services. She has a Master of Arts in Teaching from Smith College, MA. She is a technology evangelist who enjoys learning and sharing new tech applications, especially for the classroom. She loves being a part of a program that encourages educators to explore connections between their students, curriculum, and technology tools.

  • Safire DeJong

    Keri “Safire” DeJong, Ed.D. works in the Professional Development department at the Collaborative for Education Services (CES). Safire co-leads both technology and social justice focused professional development and consulting for K-12 schools. She is a Google Certified Trainer that loves coaching teachers on integrating Google tools in their classrooms with an eye on creating more equity in schools.

Registration

A maximum class size is set for each course and registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. If the number of registrations for a course exceeds the maximum seats available or is too low to be able to conduct a quality learning experience, the Collaborative will inform you of available options.

Course Cancellation

If you wish to cancel your registration, please submit a request in writing (via mail, email or fax) no later than 5 business days before the workshop’s start date. After that, there are no refunds or billing adjustments.

In the event that a course is cancelled by the Collaborative for Educational Services, we will notify you as soon as possible. Please be sure to provide your best email address and phone number so we can contact you.  Although every effort is made to avoid last minute cancellations, if an emergency arises, we will do our best to reach you at the phone number and email address you provide.
