Exploring Styles, Discovering Learners

Summer Academy
Offered by:
Professional DevelopmentSummer Academy

Description

Conversations in education today often revolve around data, assessment and standards, but in focusing on numbers and high-stakes testing, we miss one very important truth: If we are to be effective teachers, we have to know our students.

This truth has important and practical applications for teachers in their day-to-day work with students--especially students on the fringes, such as those with learning disabilities and those who are English language learners. Please bring a computer or other device for surfing the web.
