Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How is this training helpful to evaluators?
A: Evaluators review the essential components of the evaluation system, learn streamlining strategies from each other, and work toward consistent application of the evaluation system and its tools to all teachers in a school or district.

Q: Does this training advocate a specific model?
A: We strive to work within the models of the districts with which we work. This means sticking with essentials like collecting factual evidence and basing write-ups on that evidence.

Q: Are videos used and provided?
A: We work hard to use videos that are typical of classroom instruction. These provide much room for discussion and are representative if what school leaders will see in their own observations.

Q: Will we conduct actual write-ups of evaluations?
A: Yes, time will be spent practicing write-ups.
