Description

One key element of supporting students with disabilities in general education classrooms is understanding how to match instructional supports to the unique learning needs of students. Paraprofessionals play a critical role in implementing the vast array of instructional techniques designed by teachers and recommended in individualized educational programs (IEPs). In this workshop, you will have an opportunity to share your experiences and to learn about how different disabilities affect student learning in the general education classroom. You will also learn some basic strategies that can assist students with specific challenges to access the general curriculum more effectively.
