Description

The future demands creative problem solvers, innovators, scientists, engineers and collaborators. How do we encourage children to expand on their ideas, ask good questions and find solutions? Giving students the time and support to generate and explore through imagination and play allows for a creative and open process whereby new and exciting ideas may emerge. In this workshop we will use simple materials to practice strategies for expanding our own ideas in order to help us model this process with students. We will take TIME to find out how we can work with children to become our future solutionaries.

This session addresses Massachusetts Core Competency 2: Guiding and Interacting with Children and Youth and Massachusetts Core Competency 5: Learning Environments and Implementing Curriculum.
