The CETL Immersion Course

The Collaborative for Educational Services,  Assabet Valley Collaborative and METAA are joining forces to offer a 2-day facilitated preparatory session where participants will learn about each of the CoSN Framework elements from experienced instructors. This course will help you assess your knowledge of the content, sort out which general topics are covered on the exam, and identify content areas you need to focus on using our skills assessment tool. CoSN qualified instructors will provide content to help you comprehend all areas of the CoSN Framework of Essential Skills, which is the basis for the CETL® exam. This package includes access to CoSN’s “CETL Exam Preparation and Online Collaborative Learning Site” with materials designed to prepare an education technology leader for the CoSN Certified Education Technology Leader (CETL) examination and credential.

Passing the CETL Exam is how education technology leaders earn their CETL certification. This certification will demonstrate to your staff, superintendent, and other stakeholders that you have mastered the knowledge and skills needed to define the vision for and successfully build 21st century learning environments in your school district. Visit the CoSN CETL Exam page to learn more about eligibility, cost, and scheduled exams. The cost of the exam is not included in the registration for the preparatory course. METAA is planning to hold an exam in October 2016, which is great timing to complete the August two-day immersion course and then have time to read and reflect on the online course materials.
