Description

In this 2 day workshop participants will learn specific strategies that foster students' metacognition and make student thinking visible. Practical, hands-on strategies will be taught, practiced and ready to employ with students upon completion of the workshop. Materials will be provided. This presentation will build your teaching toolkit, increasing student engagement and success, by exploring the strategies in the book Making Thinking Visible: How to Promote Engagement, Understanding, and Independence for all Learners by Ritchhart, Church, and Morrison.

Audience and Grade Level

1-8 classroom educators, content area educators, special education educators, instructional assistants, and literacy/math specialists
