Description

Add+VantageMR® Course 1 (AVMR1) focuses on the foundational learning of early numeracy concepts and topics that affect the development of future mathematical understanding. From the U.S. Math Recovery Council, the course includes dynamic, diagnostic assessments in number words and numerals, structuring numbers, and addition and subtraction strategies. The assessment, data collecting, and teaching tools accelerate the ability of educators to recognize students' current levels of numeracy understanding to make data-driven instructional decisions. During this professional learning opportunity participants will be actively involved in rich discussions around student mathematical thinking.

This is a virtual course consisting of eight 3-hour sessions (2 hours being synchronous and 1 hour being asynchronous in each session).
