The SEIS science content consultant will facilitate a consecutive 2 day Professional Development content series specific to Science teachers working in residential education programming in Department of Mental Health (DMH)  sites. Teachers are content and/or special education certified as the majority of students they serve are special education students. Our teachers teach content and are responsible for managing IEP goals and objectives for the students. The sessions will be held October 2 & 3, 2019 in Norwood, MA. Facilitator will create and design workshops for the two day series with a focus in specific targeted areas (instruction, assessment, teaching all students) as defined and discussed with the Associate Director of Professional Development and Curriculum. Facilitators must have content area certification for secondary sciences and special education certification is a plus.

Facilitator will work with Co- (Gen Ed) facilitator to create a rigorous content (Secondary level) session with built in  Special Education and pedagogy elements. The teachers attending the training (Gen Ed and Special Ed) teach in Department of Youth Services (DYS) facilities and practice an inclusion model of providing Special Education services to youth.

The Collaborative for Educational Services (CES) is seeking a Dance Instructor to join our after school program at West Springfield High School in West Springfield, MA. We’re looking for an energetic, collaborative thinker to teach a small group of self-motivated students in the style of hip-hop and/or lyrical. Our ideal candidate will have experience with multiple dance disciplines, an eagerness to help our students take initiative and devise dance work of their own, and have previous experience working with youth. This individual will also assist the Site Coordinator in day-to-day program details, as needed. We’re looking for a Dance Instructor to work two afternoons a week, Monday – Friday between the hours of 2:30- 4:00pm, starting immediately until the last day of the program in June 2019, with the potential for continued employment in our summer program.
