Transforming Education for Social Justice Conference

The Transforming Education for Social Justice Conference is a regional conference that brings together people in Western Massachusetts who are interested in social justice and equity in K-12 schools, early childhood classrooms, and the surrounding communities.

Participants and speakers of this conference bring promising practices for schools, classrooms and communities. Networking opportunities provide a chance for young people, educators, activists, and administrators  to connect, share, and learn from each other about how to develop education as a tool for equity and social justice. Participants have the opportunity to examine the specific regional challenges that young people are facing in our education system which are central to their lives and to the vitality of our communities.

Features of this Conference:

  • Two-hour workshops focused on regional topics and initiatives related to social justice and equity in education
  • Opportunities for powerful networking and connections with local educators and administrators as you share curriculum, lunch and facilitated conversation
  • Youth-led sessions that provide opportunities to learn from young people and support the development of student leadership.
