Early Education and Care Educators of Dual Language Learners
Professional Learning Communities are collegial discussion groups for educators at all levels that meet regularly throughout the school year. There is no charge for participation. Certificates of attendance and PDPs are available. Meetings are held at locations in Franklin and Hamshire County.
Update: February, April, and June 2012 meetings of the Early Education and Care Educators of Dual Language Learners PLC are cancelled. Early Education and Care Educators of Dual Language Learners
Please join us for an initial discussion about dual language learning and how we can support each other in this work.
We hope to build community meetings about dual language learning and teaching. Our goal is to build a collaborative and supportive professional leadership community where, through open discussion and learning projects, we can better address the needs of our children and youth in early education and care settings.
Topics, to be determined by you, may include:
- Policies for Dual Language Learners,
- The Role of the Native Language in language and literacy learning,
- Professional Development, and
- Parent Engagement
- ……Or whatever you wish to bring to the table
Help us build a community where we can support each other in the area of Dual Language Learning. Everyone is welcome! Our collaborations will enrich and expand our dialogue. Mark your calendar for the first year of this Professional Learning Community for Early Educators and Care Providers of Dual Language Learners (DLLs).
Note: EEC Training Hours will be given.
