Description

The core of differentiated instruction revolves around creating equal access to mathematical ideas without simplifying the mathematical content of a lesson. This ideal poses many challenges to us as teachers.

Participants in this workshop will deepen their ability to:

  • Engage struggling students with challenging mathematics tasks
  • Support the development of academic language
  • Encourage multiple means of communication
  • Assess student performance and plan effective instruction.

Audience and Grade Level

Teachers, Paraprofessionals, Principals and Assistant Principals, Special Educators, Math Coaches and Math Specialists; Grades 3-12.

18 PDPs will be awarded to participants upon the completion of these three days of training. Note that these 18 PDPs will satisfy the SPED-related requirement for recertification.
