Description

Personalized learning seeks to accelerate student learning by tailoring the instructional environment – what, when, how and where students learn – to address the individual needs, skills and interests of each student.

The Educational Equity and Personalized Learning Institute is being created in a partnership between the Collaborative for Educational Services (CES) and Assabet Valley Collaborative (AVC), and will empower K-12 educators across the Commonwealth to create equity-based, inclusive schools, reducing opportunity gaps through technology-enhanced personalized learning. The model for this program provides time and guidance for your team to develop a shared understanding of blended and personalized learning and how your team will implement these practices in their buildings. Teachers will gain the skills and understanding necessary to help better support students to integrate their learning across modalities, rather than direct their efforts to externally produced online offerings. And for many districts moving toward a 1:1 program or investment in educational technology, this training will support an intentional and well-planned approach that leverages technology.

Participants in the Educational Equity in Personalized Learning Institute will learn about the critical design and implementation steps to launch a blended practice in the classroom that personalizes learning for students. The focus will be on identifying instructional experiences, both traditional and technology-enhanced, to meet the specific needs of each student.
