The Collaborative’s Early Childhood Department has been providing high-quality support, consultation, and training for many years to early education and care providers, parents, families, schools, and communities. We offer a comprehensive range of services designed to support early education providers in their efforts to enhance program quality, including accreditation support. Our Support Team assists caregivers and families in meeting the social-emotional and developmental needs of young children.
With its long history of expertise in PreK-12 education, the Collaborative is uniquely positioned as a key regional resource in education. Through established, ongoing relationships among stakeholders in early education and care, the Collaborative’s Early Childhood Department is a vital link in building community and fostering collaboration.

- Career development support for staff
- Support for directors in their leadership role
Accreditation Activities
- Support for NAEYC or NAFCC accreditation and CDA credential
Enhancement of Developmentally Appropriate Practice
- On site training and technical assistance
- Implementation of the Early Childhood Program Standards and Guidelines
- Quality enhancement that centers on the learning environment, curriculum, adult/child interactions, parent/provider communication, routines, cultural competence, and appreciating diversity
Incorporating Comprehensive Services to Meet Children’s Social-Emotional Needs
- On site consultation by early childhood mental health professionals
- Support for teachers and parents in meeting children’s social-emotional and developmental needs
- Fostering positive working relationships between staff and parents
- Providing collateral services for parents
We offer a range of options that will be customized to address the needs of your program. Each of our early childhood professionals has extensive experience and education in the field. They have taught in the full range of early education and care settings, administered programs, provided professional development, coached teachers, and supported programs and providers in meeting children’s social and emotional needs and achieving the high quality and QRIS standards required for accreditation.
