Early Childhood Overview (4-page PDF)
HEC Early Childhood offers a comprehensive range of training and
consulting services to early education and care providers, parents,
childcare centers, schools, and communities. Our services include:
mental health consultation, quality enhancement consultation and
accreditation support, grant administration and development, and
professional development. Services can be designed to fit specific
needs.
With its long history in PreK-12 education, the Collaborative is
uniquely positioned to assist schools in incorporating preschool
programming into the educational continuum, and we invite districts to
reach out to HEC Early Childhood as a key resource.

HEC Professional Learning Communities
include a group focusing on Autism in Young Children (through grade 2). There is no charge for participation in
the group, which is open to those teaching young children in both public and private settings.
In fall 2007, HEC's Collaborative Conversations initiative hosted a statewide conference on early childhood titled Thinking Big About Little Learners, and follow-up activities are continuing.
