DRIVING & PARKING DIRECTIONS:
FROM I-90 AND/OR I-91: Take MassPike I-90 to Exit 4 to I-91 North to Exit 18 to Route 5 North, toward downtown Northampton. Continue on Route 5 approximately 1/2 mile and turn right onto Holyoke Street. Take first left onto Hawley Street (just beyond railroad underpass). The Annex Building (123 Hawley Street) is immediately on your left, at the near end of the small strip of offices. The Main Office (97 Hawley Street) is about 1/10 mile up on the left; it is a new, light green, two-story building with cream trim. Please enter through main door at RIGHT SIDE of building. To reach the Academy Building (228 Pleasant Street), continue on Route 5 (Pleasant Street) to Short Street, which is just PAST Holyoke Street. Number 228 is a red brick building on the right side of Route 5, adjacent to Short Street.
FROM ROUTE 9: Located at the east end of downtown Northampton, Hawley Street intersects with Route 9 between the railroad underpass and the Northampton Post Office. There is a traffic light at the intersection. From Amherst and other points east, take the first left after the Post Office; from the west, take the first right after the railroad underpass onto Hawley Street. The Main Office (97 Hawley Street) is on the right side of the street, about 4/10 of a mile down, past Universal Health & Fitness. The Annex Building (123 Hawley Street) is also on the left just past the Main Office, at the far end of the small strip of offices. If you are traveling to the Academy Building (228 Pleasant Street), continue on Hawley Street to the end, then turn right onto Holyoke Street, and turn right again onto Route 5 North, which is Pleasant Street. Number 228 is a red brick building located just a short way up the street on the right side, at the intersection of Short Street.
HAWLEY STREET PARKING: Visitors may park in the front and side lots by the Main Office (97 Hawley Street) or on the street, if space is available. Arrangements have also been made for our visitors to park in the adjacent Shu-Fix lot (to the left of the Main Office), so long as the single entrance to the lot is not blocked and no cars are parked in front of the two businesses located there. The Annex Building (123 Hawley Street) has some spaces available in front of the building; if those are filled, visitors may use the Shu-Fix lot.
228 PLEASANT STREET PARKING: Visitors to HEC Academy school programs may park in the small lot at the front of the building and enter through the front doorway. For the Special Education Department, Occupational Therapy Center, and CCATT Center please continue to the end of Short Street and bear left into the lot at the rear of the building. The entrance to these facilities is located at the rear of the building. Should our lot be filled, metered parking is also available in the municipal lot on the north side of the building.
Please call before visiting the CCATT Center or Occupational Therapy Center.
