STUDENTS...

Are you a current high school student looking for a new way to learn Algebra?

With Algebra Online, you can learn on your own time and at your own pace.

PARENTS...

Are you looking for a new way for your son or daughter to learn algebra?

Every student has a unique learning style. Algebra Online can help students explore the ways they learn best so they can develop critical math skills, pass the MCAS, and graduate high school.

EDUCATORS...

Do you know a student who is not learning algebra in a traditional classroom setting?

Algebra Online allows students to direct their own learning to gain the math skills and credit they need to move forward in school, and in life.

There's another way to get the credit needed to graduate.

Algebra Online covers most all of the same course material as a yearlong high school Algebra course, but allows students to direct their own learning. With ongoing help from a certified math teacher, students decide when and what they want to study. Interactive audio and video explanations, exercises and real-world examples appeal to students who may find Facebook more engaging than a traditional math class.

  • The program is open to any student who has failed Algebra or wishes to accelerate in Algebra.
  • One of our goals is to help all participating students score 'proficient' or higher on MCAS, and gain the math credits they need to earn their high school diploma.
  • As the course is self-paced, there is no set time frame, but most students complete the course in a little more than a semester.
  • Students may register for Algebra Online at any time.
  • This project was developed through a federal ARRA grant, awarded through the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
